Nude Fear (1998)A killer strikes again, twenty years after the brutal murder of Detective Joyce Chan's mother. Luckily, Joyce (Kathy Chow) has spent the last 20 years preparing for this day, gaining first-class honours in criminal psychology along the way, in the hopes of eventually catching her man. However, her years of training and 'instincts' don't match the cunning of her opponent. All the plot elements have been done elsewhere, but a good sense of uneasiness and tension rides throughout. Kathy Chow fits the lead well; she's a bit unbelievable at times but glows by the end. I enjoyed this film, though some viewers will find this formula generic and hard to sit through. Also, those expecting both nudity and fear may not get what they're looking for. |
